Am 7. Juli 2026 um 14.15 hält Marta Campi vom Deep Hearing Lab der Universität Zürich und des Universitätsspitals Zürich im Raum W30 0-033/34 einen Vortrag zum Thema „Big Data Approaches to Personalised Hearing Care“.

Abstract: In clinical practice, hearing loss is summarised largely by the pure-tone average, yet patients with the same audiogram frequently differ in how they understand speech and in the difficulties they report in daily life. These differences shape rehabilitation needs but are not captured by standard summary measures. This talk explores how large-scale audiological data and computational modelling can help to characterise the individual patient beyond the audiogram, drawing on patient-reported outcomes, speech testing and hearing-aid and cochlear-implant data. The aim is to consider how a more individualised picture of hearing could inform assessment, counselling and treatment decisions.
