DPG Physicist of the week: Leilani Torres
Hearing4all researcher Dr. Leilani Torres was nominated as ‘Physikerin der Woche’ (Physicist of the week) by Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft e. V. (DPG). She is a senior scientist at the Institute of Quantum Optics, Leibniz University Hannover and a group leader at the Lower Saxony Center for Biomedical Engineering, Implant Research and Development (NIFE).
Torres is member of the biophotonics group of Prof. Dr. Alexander Heisterkamp, Principal Investigator in the Cluster of Excellence Hearing4all. The group works at the interface of physics, biology, medicine, and engineering.
