TrueLOUDNESS

trueLOUDNESS

trueLOUNDNESS is a new loudness based fitting concept for hearing aids. It was developed based on binaural broadband loudness measurements that better represent natural signals. The background is that most fitting methods use sinus tones as standard signals to measure hearing thresholds, which are actually not suitable to predict loudness perception for broadband signals such as speech.

The process is used in ACAM5 and is available through the industrial partner Acousticon Hörsysteme GmbH.
