Oldenburg Measurement Applications

Oldenburg Measurement Applications

The software “Oldenburg Measurement Applications”, developed at the University of Oldenburg and distributed by HörTech as a medical device and research version, was developed with the aim of providing audiologists working in clinics, research and hearing acoustics with an instrument that allows important and new procedures in hearing diagnostics to be carried out practically with a flexible and modular system. The spectrum ranges from the classic speech test to loudness scaling and modern speech audiometry procedures in quiet and noise. The procedures developed at the University of Oldenburg and distributed by HörTech – GÖSA, OLSA, OLKISA, WAKO and OLKI – are characterized by high accuracy, phonetic balance, equivalent test lists and natural pronunciation. All test procedures are suitable for use in noise, so that they capture the hearing ability of the person concerned in a situation that meets the everyday requirements of hearing. The use of German-language diagnostic procedures may lead to invalid results for persons with a different native language. For this reason, the Oldenburg scientists have now developed the OLSA matrix test for many different languages such as Arabic, Turkish, Polish, Russian, Spanish and English.

The Oldenburg speech tests are available on various audiometers from numerous manufacturers.
