Minister Falko Mohrs visits Oldenburg

Oldenburg’s field of Hearing Research welcomed a special guest on December 5: Falko Mohrs, Lower Saxony’s Minister of Science and Culture (MWK), visited Hörzentrum Oldenburg gGmbH and Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMT. He received insights into research laboratories and innovative technical processes in conversation with scientists from the institutes. The “Portable Hearing Lab” for various hearing aid settings was presented at the Hörzentrum as well as the functionality of a new method for loudness normalization, “trueLOUDNESS”. At the Fraunhofer IDMT, Minister Mohrs gained an impression of “The Hearing Car” with AI-supported acoustic sensor systems for cars and mobile neurotechnologies for capturing the attention of drivers.

Hörzentrum Oldenburg gGmbH and Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMT collaborate with the Cluster of Excellence Hearing4all in order to jointly research the “hearing of the future”.
